Hundreds of cookie spam
-
Hi I set up a little blog to run along side my review site
As i hadn’t had much success with the jetpack publicize that seems to work intermittently and the best answer they had for why was “I don’t know” I decided to try this plugin as an alternative. At first glance the plugin works great, instantly sharing with so many places at once – even multiple facebook genres.
My default browser is Firefox and I have it blocking most cookies and ads by default, however when I was testing my site with Internet Explorer I found that I kept getting notices for cookies.. in fact until i chose “always block” or “always accept” they kept popping up.
I didn’t start counting till I was about half way through but I estimate about 10-20 cookies from various sites – a lot of which I tried to visit and the pages were not even there like rifthub.com
I don’t mind the plugin having the linksalpha cookie.. I’m using a plugin for free, fine, leave a cookie if you absolutely have to… but why the others?
I very much would like to remove all the additional cookies, and it would be a shame to have to do it by removing the plugin.
Please can someone lend a hand?
