    Hello,

I like the look and feel of the “Human Readable” dates layout option available in the search form widget.

However, I’m not seeing the option available for the similar search shortcode. The shortcode generated for me looks like
    [vikbooking category_id=”” view=”vikbooking” lang=”en-US”]
    and I also tried
    [vikbooking category_id=”” view=”vikbooking” lang=”en-US” datestype=”human”]
but wasn’t getting the view I was hoping for.

Is there any way to get the human readable format for the search shortcode?

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Hello Mark,

At the moment, the “Human Readable” layout is only available in the Search Form widget, not in the Search Form shortcode.

The large, yet responsive, size of the “Human Readable” layout makes the widget useful to be published in the home page of the website. However, for the moment the Shortcode “Search Form” does not support this layout, but we may add it with a future release considering all the requests we received from our clients, including yours.

Unfortunately, no custom parameters in the Shortcode syntax will help you obtain that layout because the shortcode is simply displaying a “View”, not a “Widget”, and that layout isn’t supported. It’s just a different output of the plugin, but if no availability errors will ever occur, your Shortcode of type “Search Form” will serve just to route the booking process. It will never be displayed.

    We hope this helps!
