    Hi Matt,

Firstly, thanks so much for the detailed problem explanation. This is always helpful for us in order to understand the problem better and provide best solution for you.

Please note that custom login forms wont work unless they use WordPress’ built-in function.

So, in your case, you’re using a custom login form, the necessary calls that WordPress login forms normally make, are not being processed.

Unfortunately, custom login forms need dedicated, custom code to work with systems like Shield that hook into them.

If you intend to use custom login forms, then you will most likely not be able to use Shield’s login protection system (such as “I’m a human” bot protection checkbox).

For example, WooCommerce provides custom login forms, and we support this, but this is because they provide the mechanisms to do this… unfortunately this isn’t very common with custom-built forms.

We know this isn’t the answer you’ll be looking for, but is unfortunately the reality of using many different and independently developed products for WordPress.

If you decide to keep using the custom login form in question, please see here how to disable “I’m a human” bot protection checkbox in Shield:

Hope this was helpful for you in some way, Matt.

    Hello Jelena,

Thanks to you for your quick and in-depth response! I have since read through a few similar posts in this forum, so I already suspected that would be it. ?? And of course, it makes perfect sense.

I wrote to the BB devs to see if they can come up with the necessary custom code to establish compatibility.

I’m a complete noob when it comes to coding (outside HTML and CSS), but I linked this thread in my support ticket to BB and I’m wondering if you have a reference they could use to write the proper code?

(It’s entirely possible they know anyway, but just in case. :-))

    Thanks again,
    Matt.

    Hi Matt,

Many thanks for the update and your efforts to make BB compatible with Shield.

Let’s wait for BB team to see what they can do about it. Keep us posted on this, please.

    Regarding 3rd party login/register forms, we try to support as many as possible with ShieldPRO such as these;

But, since this is wp.org, we can’t discuss this topic on the forums. Please feel free to email us if you’re interested and have questions about this.

    Thanks,

    Jelena

    Hey Jelena,

According to the BB devs, it should be possible to modify their login form module to support Shield:

To add support for a third-party plugin like this you will need to override the core module following the instructions in the link below and add the plugins code. ??

    https://docs.wpbeaverbuilder.com/beaver-builder/developer/custom-modules/cmdg-18-override-built-in-modules/

I’m guessing I’ll need to find a programmer to write the necessary code, though, right?

Yea, unless you’re a coder you’ll probably need a dev to implement this…
