Huge WordPress problems, again
-
In April my host upgraded PHP on my shared server and the WordPress problems started: Dashboard was empty, posting took a long time and resulted in blank pages and sometimes posts appeared twice. This also happened on new WordPress installations that didn’t have any mods or plugins.
After a few weeks of trouble my host moved me to another server and the problems were fixed. All my WordPress sites worked perfectly for all of May. However, last week they did another upgrade of PHP (to 4.4.2) and all the problems returned! :o(
This time the Dashboard doesn’t load at ALL. On one blog I get a page not found when I try to go to wp-admin/index.php and on another I get only the top blue header and a javascript error in Line 24, Char 3: ‘null’ is null or not an object.
On Tuesday my host wrote “It looks like PHP was causing segmentation faults on your script. I have recompiled PHP and it’s modules, which has resolved the issue.”
It worked for a little while, but today the problems returned. I just went to post.php and after hitting publish I got a blank page and the post appears SIX TIMES on the blog — each with a unique ID!!
I installed an empty new 2.0.2 WordPress blog with my host’s Fantastico tool, but it gives the same problems.
I’ve tried everything. Can someone please assist? I see MANY people in this forum with similar problems, but no resolution is ever posted.
And to make things worse I just noticed that posting of comments also doesn’t work, it results in page not found.
Thanks.
