Just added your plugin and noticed that SOMETIMES there seems to be inserted a huge block of whitespace between the header and the menu which causes the menu to be pushed down to the middle of the screen.

Is it possible to disable this of fix it some how?

    Hi David,

    Thanks for reporting your issue.

I am sure that unfilled Google AdSense Auto Ads cause the problem you describe. If this is the case, there are two options to avoid the blank space:

Disable Auto ads for your entire website

Navigate to your AdSense account and disable auto ads for your domain. Afterward, remove the auto ads code from your website and insert AdSense ads manually.

I notice that you embed the auto ads multiple times and recommend removing all additional injections of this code. You can embed this code automatically by activating the related checkbox in Advanced Ads > Settings >AdSense.

Disable the header position for Auto Ads

Navigate to your AdSense account > Ads > Auto Ads and check the preview of your website. You should see Auto ads on the mentioned position in your header. Click the bin icon to disable ad injections for this spot.

    Best regards,

    Joachim

Thanks but the problem is also that the ads are inserted BETWEEN the header and the menu. It look s horrible. Infact it looks broken. How do I fix this?

    Hi David,

I don’t any AdSense ads on your website, but if ads are injected between the header and the navigation menu or anywhere else where you don’t like to see them, you would need to disable these positions in your AdSense account (if these are auto ads), or you inject the ads manually using placements.

Where do I remove auto ads code from my website?

Under Insert Ads Manually your guide says:

    Get the code
Click on?Create?to get the ad’s code.
Advanced Ads will later get the code automatically, so you don’t need to copy it. Jump ahead to?this step.

Where do I get the code?

    Where is the Create button?

Remember I have NEVER tried this before so please be extremely specific. More specific than you think ??

    Hi David,

    Thanks for your reply.

You need to remove the auto ads code from those places where you embedded it earlier. If you did not integrate this code manually, you possibly included it with the Google Site Kit plugin or the related option in Advanced Ads (Advanced Ads > Settings > AdSense). However, it looks like you already removed the code because I cannot see it in the source code of your website anymore.

To identify the auto ads code, please, take a look at this video.

Where do I get the code? Where is the Create button?

You only need to save the ad units in your AdSense account > Ads. Please, take a look at the screenshots. Advanced Ads will later import the ad code automatically when you connect Advanced Ads with your AdSense account (except the codes for native formats in-feed and in-article). So you don’t need to copy code to embed AdSense display ads.

What units in my Adsense account?

What screenshots are you referring to?

Cant find that code from the video. Mine looks like this and I get no ads still:

    if ( window.jQuery ) {var responsive_zero_width = [];jQuery( ‘ins.adsbygoogle’, context ).each( function() {// Zero width, perhaps because a parent container is floatedif ( jQuery( this ).attr( ‘data-ad-format’ ) && 0 === jQuery( this ).width() ) {responsive_zero_width.push( this.dataset.adSlot );}});if ( responsive_zero_width.length ) {advanced_ads_frontend_checks.add_item_to_node( ‘.advanced_ads_ad_health_floated_responsive_adsense’, responsive_zero_width );}}

    Hi @davidfonsbo,

What units in my Adsense account?

Please, see this manual. I explain there how to create ad units in AdSense. You will need to do that to show ads on your website afterwards.

What screenshots are you referring to?

I referred to the screenshots of the mentioned manual.

    Best regards,

    Joachim
