Huge Problem with Text and Internet Explorer

Hi, I am working on a friends site and while it was on 1.2 there were no problems with IE, now that I have switched to 1.5 the text on the site does not want to show up in IE. It’s there and if you highlight it it will show up, but it will disappear again if you scroll. It’s fine in Firefox, the problem only seems to happen in IE. It’s very annoying and as some of my friends viewers will not be internet savy folks a lot will be using IE so I need to get this fixed. Any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated.
