• Hi

When using AWS my postmeta table grows rapidly. It now has over 1 700 000 records according to WP optimizer. The db is to large to backup with Updraft.

    Please advice.

    Best regards, Niclas

    Hi,

Its can be caused by ‘Cache results’ option.

Please go to plugin settings page and click on ‘Clear cache’ button.
    Write me about results.

    Thanks.

You are talking about wp_postmeta table?

Correct, even though the prefix wp_ is changed due to security reasons!

    Thanks for helping

It is strange because this search plugin doesn’t create any records in postmeta table.
Are you sure that it is fault of AWS plugin?

Can you please show me how this records looks like?

    Hi

I have looked in the table and there is one meta key which appears in the most of the rows: _yst_is_cornerstone

After googling it is from Yoast plugin.

When I reindexed your app it added approx. 300 000 rows in a blink of an eye.

    Thanks in advance.

This 300 000 rows adds to special table aws_index that store products normalize content.
It is normal behaviour if you have many products.
