I have recently had an explosion in my option DB on my site it is now 655MB and i see that the _transient_aam_post_cache_ seems to be the cause of this.

I have tried to find a way to stop/unistall/remove the AAM plugin but it seems to leave all of them in the DB.

What is wrong that makes these huge transient files and they have no expires set either.

    Hi @nullset,

Thank you for the feedback. AAM has internal caching mechanism that caches access settings to the frontend content in mentioned about transient options. This is done to speed-up website performance.

I’m assuming you have a lot of registered users on your website so this can be a reason why you have so many records in the database.

Can you please clarify few things:

    – How many registered users your website has?
    – Do you manage access to your frontend content with AAM?
    – If you manage access to the frontend content, do you manage it for individual users?

Depending on your answers, I might be able to find work around to optimize AAM to your website needs.

    Keep me updated.
