Huge messy install

  • This plugin actually installs 3 plugins including Optimisers and Page Builders. It makes a total mess of your WordPress install and ultimately forces you to either buy into their products or re-install WordPress from scratch to remove all the garbage it has dumped on to your hosting.

    Stay away from this if you value your sanity!

  • I am actually wondering where is the simple maintenance plugin I used to love.. I have installed this plugin on a new site taken me with shock that I can no longer have the simple template that I was used to. I mean I don’t want these fancy templates nor additional wasteful plugins that I didn’t bargain for.

    Seriously, this is a bummer! If its not possible to go back to simple template that we were used to, then I’ll have to look at other alternatives.

    We’re sorry to hear that the changes introduced in the latest versions of the plugin were not helpful in your use cases. However, after installing LightStart, it is possible to skip installing the Otter plugin which provides some pre-designed templates for the maintenance and coming soon pages and the Optimole plugin which helps optimize those pages. Thus, you can still use the plugin as before, without installing the additional plugins.
