huge error log with activation

Really hoping to get Mailpoet3 going on my site but receive an error log in my dashboard and on my site when I activate. I contacted my tech help and this was her response:I tested this and I’m not sure the issue is a plugin. I turned off all of your plugins still got the error. Based the error it’s showing, it looks to be a conflict with a WP core file. Not seeing anyone with a similar issue on the WP plugin page, though, so it might be more likely a conflict with your theme? You can try temporarily reverting to one of the default WP themes and then see if you still get the error. If it is a problem with your theme, then you’d have to try contacting them for support to see if they have suggestions for a fix. I can’t think of what else it could be other than a bug in the plugin itself. I upgraded to the newest version of the plugin but it didn’t seem to help.
So, I just tried with another theme (twenty fourteen) and got the same thing. Would attach an image if I could, but it has lines and lines with “vendor/twig/lib/Twig amongst other messages.
Hope to figure it out because I don’t want to use Mailchimp and there are so few good, attractive options. Thanks so much!
