• Lately I keep running out of storage space on my hosting. Even though I was deleting unnecessary file and folders and moving stuff over to my AWS.

But I still kept running out of space.

This is bad because when you start to run out of space, your site starts breaking and not working. I’ve lost sales because of this.

    I finally tracked it down..

W3 cache page_enhanced folder, come to find out there was almost 40 GIGS, yes gigs in there. Argh.

Is this problem known? Is it being addressed?

Like the plugin, but if it’s going to take up and much space and break my site, can’t keep using it. ??

  • I’m experiencing a very similar issue with the dbcache log files. @fredericktownes is this a known problem/being addressed?

I mean how many pages are on your website? The old one’s should be cleaned up automatically once they are expired with the garbage collection. But what is number of pages/tags/categores/posts that are being cached.

It’s a woocommerce site with almost 6k products, maybe another 1k or so tag pages. By all means not a huge site. And not big traffic either.

Since I started this post I deleted almost another 10 gig cache. That’s way too much ??

I get it’s a free plugin, not expecting the world. But don’t see how the paid will eliminate this issue. Time to go with another solution.

Also seems like it’s caching both https and http. That might be part of the problem. Either way, still to much.
