• I just noticed that while using Safari that there is an intermittent horizontal black band that shows up on the top section of my website, https://www.shutterscript.com and covers roughly half the page. This doesn’t always happen, and usually goes away with a reload. I’m not sure how to consistently reproduce the problem therefore I’m having trouble diagnosing it. Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?

  • I think that it might be your floating archive box (rolling archives). It makes my Firefox slow and does not appear in my Safari. Page elements that remain fixed as the browser scrolls can cause major page slowdowns.

It was due to a lightbox plugin.
