huddletogether theme?

sorry, was at my grandparetns so i coulnt check before now, yeah i got a reply throgh the K2 forums yesterday.
i’m ging to use it for antoher site, but Thank You anyway! Happy Easter!

For the record: the huddletogether.com WordPress theme was created by myself, loosely based on the Almost Spring theme. Someone mistakenly assumed my theme was licensed under a public license and decided to ‘release’ it w/o permission. I found out a bit later once it had already made its way into many hands. I did eventually gave them my permission to leave it public. So, it is public and being maintained elsewhere, and do please use it. But thats the story.

When I copied your css, the css was released in GPL. In fact in the css was written:

“The CSS, XHTML and design is released under GPL:
https://www.opensource.org/licenses/gpl-license.php”

These words was in your css!, but now they are not (why?).
I have not assumed anything, the design was released in GPL.

Not to start a squabble, but I’ve never added GPL or any other licensing details to my Huddletogether.com Theme CSS that you ‘quoted’ me on in your last post.

I’m guessing you came across my Lightbox script and saw it was licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 License and mistakenly presumed that my WordPress theme was as well. Anyways, its public, and I’m glad you’re maintaining it.

There is still a confusion though as to the origin and I still get plenty of emails about that. Saying ‘Theme by Oriol, css design by Lokesh Dhakar’ on your site is a bit misleading imho. ‘Theme released/maintained by Oriol. Originally authored by Lokesh’ or something in that vain might be a bit more proper.
