  • Hello Rodrigo

Thank you for sharing this detailed breakdown of your issue.
I’ve noted the issue with Firefox’s Enhanced Protection and the chat widget not being displayed and forwarded it to the correct team here at HubSpot. They’ll look into this and let me know the next steps here.

You also mentioned that this enhanced protection breaks the plugin as well. Could you please let me know what exactly is broken in the plugin and share some screenshots so that we can look into this further?

    Kind Regards
    Sahil

Hi, and Thanks for your response, Sahil!!!

Here is, in my case, how I use Hubspot plugin from Firefox browser, with and without Tracking Protection.

    Hubspot Plugin in WP backend

Tell me if you require more information.

    Thks

    Rodrigo

    Hello Rodrigo

Thank you for your patience on this issue.
The issue in the wordpress plugin due to Firefox’s Enhanced Protection enabled is something we’ve been made aware of and we’re already working on a fix for this along with other major improvements to the plugin UX. And all of these changes will be released in a major version release next month. Till then I would suggest you to add an exception to this domain in Firefox’s enhanced protection mode.

Regarding the issue with the chat widget on hubspot.es, this is something our chat team was aware of. This was done by Firefox for certain domains which they classify as tracking scripts. We’ve tried to appeal this classification since we don’t do any tracking with the chat widget but unfortunately, that appeal was turned down and we can’t do anything further there.

    Kind Regards

Hi, Sahil.Very thanks for your attention!!!!!

    1) About the problem with plugin in WordPress: I would like to know if Hubspot has a “Technical Roadmap”, to know the projected date for each problem/requirement. (if I had the link, then we don’t waste time on this ticket, since we know that Hubspot is trying to resolve it) Is it possible to know if that url exists?

    2) Regarding the blocking of the chat widget. I understand that it is a Firefox restriction, however, I would appreciate indicating if there is any workaround, (a js for example) so that in case the user uses Firefox and the chat widget is blocked :

2.1) A message appears that you are not viewing the chat and invites you to change browsers,

    or

2.2) Activate the chat, manually, through an icon on the page.

    Thks for your answer

    Rodrigo

    Hi Rodrigo

    1. We don’t have any public roadmap for the plugin.
    2. I will share this feedback with the chat team.

I’ll close this ticket for now. Feel free to open up a new ticket if you have anything else.

    Hi,

I appreciate your answers, however it is necessary to point out that this was NOT resolved, and we are waiting for a possible improvement in the new version of Hubspot

I mention this so they don’t ask me how I solved it.
