Since I’ve passed from http to https I’m not able to restore locally my new backups created with the Duplicator plugin.
After successfull install on localhost without error messages/warnings I’m not able to access either backend and frontend.
I arrive to the Final Steps with no errors/warnings, but when I click the Site Login button the browser is trying to load a https link, not the actual localhost link then it stops with an error page.
I’m on Wampserver (64bit) and the old http backups can be installed and ran locally without problems.

  • Hey @tropauer,

Thanks for the feedback! If you can give the developer version a try it may have the updates for your issue. The very latest version (1.2.19) can be found by following these instructions:

    > Download Latest Version
    > Uninstall your current version and install this one.

If you still have issues feel free to submit a ticket and we can look closer at your setup for you. Just refer to this thread…

    Thanks

    Thank you very much Cory!

I’ve tried, but unfortunately in version 1.2.19 it’s the same.

I have 0 notices during the install on local machine, but clicking Site Login in Final Steps is trying to open https://localhost… and then is no way to open any https://localhost link, it’s always redirected to https://localhost…

I’ve submitted a ticket with the logfile and the production website’s URL.

Sounds good! Thxs for the update, it maybe something in the wp-config. We’ll check it out and see what the issue might be…

    Hi Cory,

Thank you very much for being so helpful!

I found that the problem is caused by the Really Simple SSL plugin I’m using to run my website on https.

Duplicator cannot overwrite its redirects and also installed locally on my computer it’s continuing to redirect all https://localhost.. links to https://localhost…
If after the local install I disable the Really Simple SSL plugin (by renaming its folder) everything works perfectly on frontend and backend as well.

Probably I’ll uninstall the Really Simple SSL plugin and delegate all redirects to https to my .htaccess file. I suppose this will also eliminate completely the isue with Duplicator.

Thank you again for the support and for this wonderful plugin!

    Andras

Excellent! Thanks for providing the details.
