HTTPS support for shortlink

wp.me does have https facility, but in my HTTPS site when I use jetpack shortlink, it generate https://wp.me/ghghg shortlink. I would be glad if you people allow https://wp.me/fdsffsd as wp.me already have ssl enabled so you have to put a if else inside jetpack shortcode module, so that if the site has ssl enabled then it will generate https version of shortlink ortherwise the normal http version.
