    Hello,

I hope this finds you well. Thanks a lot for the plugin, it’s really amazing.

I am using the theme Schema by MyThemeShop.

When i add a custom bar everything works, content is there, custom posts that i want displayed in each page are there…BUT the canvas of the sidebar isn’t theme inherent.

https://prnt.sc/vbjpim This white background is theme’s default. So the white sidebar background is missing and because i am using an image as background in the whole site, my sidebar content are very blury. I just need this white background applied to my custom sidebar.

Thanks a lot for your help.

  • Hi @stelios21

    I hope you’re well today!

You mean- the entire sidebar (full column) should use white background rather than only widgets, right?

I think this can be fixed with a small bit of CSS but it would help if we could check this on a page in question directly.

Could you please share the link to the page where I could see this issue live?

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hello Adam,

    Thanks for your prompt response.

The widget area is transparent instead of white which is the theme inherent.

    https://prnt.sc/vbxjqg https://demo.mythemeshop.com/s/?theme=Schema

If you see the demo above the widgets have a white background, but if i install custom sidebars, all my new sidebars are transparent.

Thank you again for your time.

    Hi @stelios21,

Can you please share an URL of your site where custom sidebars could be seen so we can check this further?

The theme in question is a premium one and we can’t test it on our end to see how the sidebars are looking with Custom Sidebars used.

    Cheers,
    Predrag

    Hello, thanks for your reply.

Since i guess you cannot understand without testing, here is a copy of my GPL license of the theme.

Important: use a sitewide background image of blue/black colours

-Default sidebar will have a white background (https://prnt.sc/vbxjqg)
-Custom sidebar will have a transparent background

I need custom sidebar to have a white background like the default sidebar, otherwise THE CONTENT on sidebar transparent background is not visible.
Everything else is working as intented.

    Thank you again

    Hi @stelios21 ,

I gave a quick test with the given theme but I’m not able to replicate any issues with the background of the sidebars being transparent. It’s using the default white background with the sidebar added via the plugin.

Is this issue specific to some widgets? or you notice with every widget added in the sidebar? I tested by adding default WP widgets in the sidebar and it loads fine.

Important: use a sitewide background image of blue/black colours

Is this a theme-specific setting? If I go under Appearance > Theme Options then it shows “Not Connected” Message.

So I added a background image via custom CSS but I still don’t see any difference.

It would be helpful if you could share a link to the page where you have the theme configured so that we could check and advise if there is any custom CSS that could be provided or not regarding this.

Please do advise if I have missed out anything. Looking forward to your response.

    Kind Regards,
