The simple answer is no. SSL is provided by your host. Many hosts provide Let’s Encrypt now which meets the minimum requirements (not at all an endorsement) for any Search Engines with plans soon to penalize sites not using HTTPS.

Since it’s not likely to get many hits from them even if at SSL (content is king and there are stop words), I would not worry, just use Social Media to share your site with your network of people.

While I’ve never used them myself, also I’ve seen StartSSL? Free (Class 1) mentioned a time or two.

If you are locked into a hosting provider that does not support Let’s Encrypt free SSL, another free option – not quite as good – is CloudFlare’s Flexible SSL.
