    Hello.

I’ve been using the free version of your excellent plugin for some months now with no issues. I had noted quite a bit of update activity recently, but did not expect this plugin to have any significant impact as I thought the function was essentially static for a site once configured.

H2 Font on main page has been Allura (https://www.1001fonts.com/allura-font.html) but is not now. After saving changes in v4.2.3 now; receiving two copies of this message:

    1. OMGF encountered an error while downloading Google Fonts: http_request_failed – cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: self signed certificate

    Followed by this message:

    1. Optimization completed successfully.

There have been no changes I am aware of to certs.

The failure appears to have occurred sometime between Sep30 8am and Oct1 8am (as shown by the embedded home pages in the regular backups of my site). I do not have the OMGF version for the last working date of Sep30 because attempts to restore my site to earlier dates are so far failing with a most likely unrelated error.

The OMGF stylesheet is present today, but does not contain any reference to Allura.

The OMGF plugin configuration has changed drastically since initial implementation, so I can’t even be certain of “normal” operation. All doc references point to Pro version documentation, so I am unable to even find the help I used at initial implementation.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Ray,

In one of the recent updates of WordPress, the wp_remote_get() function has set the sslverify parameter to true by default.

Since you’re using a self signed certificate (apparently, I’m also getting errors when visiting your site) on your site, WordPress isn’t able to validate the SSL certificate, which is causing the download to fail. So, my first advice would be to make sure that your SSL certificate is implemented properly.

Didn’t your SSL certificate just expire on Sep 30th?
