Hi All,
I was exploring the various settings on my dashboard setting page and I inadvertently changed the address from https://prashantmishra.net to https://prashantmishra.net

While I realize it’s a mistake, but now, I am unable to even log-in to revert the change that I made. Each time I attempt to login and/or try any link, I land on a “404 Not found” page.

Can someone suggest how I can rectify this? Thanks!

• Dear prashantpvm,

Are you able to get to your WP-Admin page? To me it seems that it is functioning and that you should be able to login.

When does the 404-happen?

Kind regards,

Dear CS-WordPress – Thanks for checking back and helping out. I fixed the problem yesterday. It took me a some time to research but the solution was fairly simple and I found it on this forum itself.

I used the ‘cpanel’ entry that was given to me when the site was hosted. Once in, I went to file manager and edited the wp-config.php file with the following lines just after ‘<?php’ at the beginning of the file:

define(‘WP_HOME’,’https://prashantmishra.net’); define(‘WP_SITEURL’,’https://prashantmishra.net’);

Save. Build. Log out.

Then I went back to the site to login as admin. Which it allowed this time. Checked dashboard->settings->general to see if change is reflecting. It was and that’s about it. ??
