HTTP String Variables and Pretty Permalink Rewrites

  • Hi, I’m trying to pass a variable in an http string but I am having trouble with the pretty permalink structure.

    When I use the default permalink, when clicking a link to reload the page and submit variables, my code echos adds ‘&action=’ to the pages url and it passes the variable correctly..

    but when I turn on pretty permalinks, it adds ‘&action=’, but then rewrites to www.example.com/pagename/?action= which does not work…

    Any help?
