    Hi @dariusju

    I hope you’re well today!

I understand that you do have valid SSL certificate and a redirect to HTTP set but please also check these two options:

    “WordPress Address (URL)”
    “Site Address (URL)”

on “Settings -> General” page in your site’s back-end.

Both these URLs should be starting with “https://” prefix instead of “https://” (despite redirect being set).

If they aren’t, do set them like this and then save settings, re-save permalinks on site (no need to change, just re-save them) and clear all cache.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

Https in general settings both set always. Resave settings and permalink done, cache cleared. Http remains in links. Not hfixed.

Also found another bug or not bug in universal analytics top pages links display as title “title of page”, in GA4 links display as url “/some/url/to/page”

Update: installed in another different stack server, the same links with http. As reference Site kit from Google shows normal with https.

    Hi @dariusju

    Thanks for response!

It is a bit strange but Beehive doesn’t itself decide whether URL should be “presented in GA” or “pushed to GA” with “http” or “https” prefix. All that is done by GA tracking code anyway – Beehive injects GA tracking code into pages and doesn’t “modify” how data is sent to it (code is JS so it’s executed in browser anyway). It does fetch data from GA to show you stats on your end (within your site) though so perhaps that’s where the issue happens.

Let me ask you then additionally:

    1. The screenshot with “http” is from Beehive – are the same URLs reported in GA itself with “http” or – correctly with “https” (or without protocol at all)?

    2. would you be able to share some example URLs (those reported with http) on site to take a closer look “from outside”?

    Kind regards,
    Adam

    Hi @dariusju

    Thank you for response!

I checked the linked page and yes – it all seems fine there. Valid and correct SSL and nice redirect.

Personally, I didn’t have active Beehive on my test sites at the moment and it would take 24 hours for it to start showing any data but fortunately one of my colleagues had it so we checked and… you are right.

I was wrong in my previous response and apparently Beehive is for some reason “overriding” this when presenting data. This is definitely some sort of the bug of which we were not yet aware.

The good news is that it doesn’t affect analytics tracking but it may be misleading when you check stats in Beehive.

I’ve already reported it to our Beehive team so developers will look into it and will include proper fix in one of upcoming releases of the plugin.

    Best regards,
    Adam
