I was trying to set up SSL for my website (cloudfare) and after watching a tutorial I downloaded Really Simple SSL. I was not getting a positive outcome so I decided to click in a box that meant something along the lines of ( bypass security http…) and I am not completely locked out my website’s backend. The backend is http but the browser / server automatically loads https .

    Hi @gus1976,

I am sorry to hear this.

Most likely you clicked ‘override SSL detection and activate SSL’. This means that https is enforced even though Really Simple SSL did not detect an SSL certificate.

You can follow the steps mentioned in this article: https://really-simple-ssl.com/uninstall-websitebackend-not-accessible/

Then you should generate an SSL certificate, or activate one via your hosting provider before you enforce https again.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Regards,
    Leon
