• I am facing this problem on multiple blogs, one of them is running 3.8.3 and the others are updated to 3.9.1.

To explain it in brief –
    1) Mostly any image I try to upload above 150kb does not get uploaded instead the uploader throws a “HTTP error”.
    2) Overall the image uploading has slowed down
    3) This has happened since the past 5 days and we have not installed any plugin nor updated any core files.
    4) Looking at the other threads – I have tried everything from modifying the php.ini to the .htaccess, nothing helps.

We use Cloudflare a CDN for our websites, I am guessing they are having some issues. However its a long shot.

Anyone else on Cloudflare and facing this problem as well?

  • Though I didn’t get an HTTP error, but a plain image upload error I had this happen just yesterday. I couldn’t upload any images or files. Not sure this will help you out, though here’s what I did:

I was using FireFox. I closed out all windows, then deleted “everything” in History under Preferences, then quit Firefox. Reopened, signed in and all was well. Whereas I could upload images again w/o errors.

If that didn’t work, I would’ve shut down my computer, unplugged it (remove battery if laptop) waited 10 mins., then tried again.

And if that didn’t work, I’d contact my web hosts for them to look into it.

Are any CloudFlare error messages appearing at all? What is the exact error you’re getting?
