HTTP error when uploading images

I faced the same issue couple of days back. I resolved it by giving 0777 permission and enabling ‘Set group,owner and permissions recursively’ checkbox for my fileset in the server.

Please do try checking folder permissions first.

I changed the permissions to 0777 through Godaddy File manager, I am still getting the same problem, any other suggestions?

Talk to GoDaddy – they have many problems with their servers and this error is typically a server issue.

Also, try deactivating your plugins, switch to a default theme and try uploading a photo via the standard WP media library – do you get the same error?
