http error for mp3 uploads

I’m using the Divi theme from Elegant Themes with WordPress 4.3 and I can’t seem to upload mp3 files. I continually get an http error.

Things I have tried so far and the problem continues to persist:

-tried disabling all my plugins
-made sure all my plugins, wordpress and theme are updated
-tried changing the settings of my php.ini file
-tried uploading directly to my wpcontent/uploads

Any idea what I should do??? Thanks
