HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error) : after mistake in .htaccess

  • Hi.

    I did a mistake in the htaccess file. The site return now a 500 internal server error of course. I can’t access to the admin panel and I don’t know if any ftp acces was set. What can I do ?

  • If you have a control panel (for example: cPanel) you should be able to access the .htaccess file through the cpanel file manager. You can also access the .htaccess file if you have SSH or FTP access to your server and edit the file according to your needs.
