    Hi

Everytime I update Yoast my site goes down with HTTP 500 error. I have to reboot IIS to get it back up and running again

If I look at the PHP error log, the last couple of Fatal Errors were

[31-Jul-2017 12:53:17 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘ComposerAutoloaderInit0935e3cc2cd2930df80d2048a010631e’ not found in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\MYWEBSITE\wp-content\plugins\wordpress-seo\vendor\autoload_52.php:7

    Anything obvious it could be?

    Thanks

Looks like there’s a problem between your server and our update server. Our usual suggestion is to update the plugin manually by uploading the plugin files via FTP.

    Thanks

Although I’d still need to restart the server to release any folder/file locks which IIS sometimes put on

This issue mostly occurs due to the incorrect server configuration. Since you’re using a Windows IIS server, we suggest you please make sure that your server is properly configured.
