HTTP Error 403.14 – Forbidden

What .htaccess files do you have in root? Is there an .htaccess file in wp-admin?

there are no htaccess files in the root or wp-admin folder.

Have you tried using /blog/wp-login.php?

yes, after entering the password, I get the error:

HTTP Error 403.14 – Forbidden
The Web server is configured to not list the contents of this directory.

using, /index.php I do see the page.
clicking on Meta/Site Admin to edit the page returns the same error.

Can you try re-uploading the wp-admin folder?

I am not sure what else to try….

It sounds like your webserver is not accepting index.php as a default document. Are you able to get support from your web hosting provider?

once I switched over to a pc I was able to add index.php to the default document list. long road, but it is running. thanks for the posts.
