http became https

    can someone help me turn the https protocol of my website’s URL back to http?

    I installed WP on a new domain name and tested hundreds (literally) of plugins and themes and I specifically remember that I ticked a setting box somewhere that transformed http into https. Unfortunately I don’t remember what I did and where ??

    What I can say for sure is that I didn’t install any plugin that addresses this issue specifically so I am hoping that is something theme related, or a WP itself setting that somehow slipped my attention.

    Please help if you know the answer to this as I don’t know what to do anymore

    These 2 sentences seem to contradict each other.

    I would deactivate all plugins and then go to settings and make sure that both the site url and home url are set to http.

    They seem to contradict each other because I didn’t know how to explain it properly.

    What I meant was that there are plugins created specifically to transform the URLS into https and I didn’t install any of these because I wasn’t looking for a plugin to do this.

    But despite this, I do remember to have ticked a checkbox or something that said that by ticking it my website address will become secured (turned from http into https, that is). It’s just that I don’t remember if it was inside a plugin, or a WP theme or even inside WP own settings that I did this from ??

    Anyway, even if it was a plugin (I tried over 60-70 of them this last week) isn’t a way to fix this? Like for example by modifying the settings inside the database, or any other way?

    And yes, the site and home URLs are both set to http because I never played with those 2 settings anyway. This I know for sure
