HTTP 500 Internal Server Error

  • Could somebody please help me? Today after years of good use I suddenly cannot upload or even view my blogs.

    I get this error message

    The website cannot display the page

    HTTP 500

    Most likely causes:
    ?The website is under maintenance.
    ?The website has a programming error.

    The page goes on to suggest that it is a:
    This error (HTTP 500 Internal Server Error) means that the website you are visiting had a server problem which prevented the webpage from displaying.

    I have absolutely no idea how to fix this problem there are years of blogs on here. I first noticed the hassle when I tried to upload from MS Word 2010 my latest blog.

    I do have a copy of the site on my hard drive but it is very old – I don’t really know how that would work.
