    Hi Everyone

After running perfectly for the last 3 weeks our website is currently giving the above error. I logged into cpanel and completed the sql repair but no luck, I then went over to fantastico to see if there was an update i could do – but to my horror fantastico is telling me there is no installation!?! but the files are still there in file manager!

    the website is laikonik.com.au

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thank you

  • Open your wp-config.php file and make sure your database credentials are correct. (i.e. database name, database password, etc.)

Check your wp-config file for the correct information.

You can actually check your database credentials with your hosting provider as well.

Thanks guys, the credentials seem to be ok. Any other suggestions?

    Cheers

What prompted you to repair the db?

If you are sure you have the correct username and password and you are sure that you have typed the correct hostname and you are sure that the database server is running then the repair did something to the db itself.

Is the db still open in a repair mode? Do you have a backup? Have you checked with your host?

Hi kmessinger, I did the db repair after reading some other threads on this problem, so the problem was already there before doing the repair.

No its not open in repair mode, yes we have a backup, I have just logged a call with the host and they said they will get back to me soon……

What ever password, user you use to get into the db for repair should be the same as in your config file.

Hopefully the host won’t take too long.

    Hi everyone

Success!!!!! eventually the hosting site got back to me, and for reasons no one understands the user associated with database was gone!!! so I created a new user in the sql manager in cpanel and viola!

Thanks for all the other suggestions though

    Cheers
