    Hi,

After a successful install of WordPress, I login via:

    https://www.favour.com.au/blog/wp-login.php

with the admin user Id and our password that we were just provided with. It then displays a HTTP 403 message saying

‘The website declined to show this webpage
HTTP 403 Most likely causes: This website requires you to log in. ‘

This is what I am actually doing so message seems a bit misleading. I tried starting the installation again by removing the SQL database and recreating with the same result. We use Quadrahosting.com.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Found it thanks. Problem is Im using Windows server and need to include index.php in Directory Indexes. Worked a dream.

What do you mean by “INclude … in directory indexes”. What is this?

I am using the same type of link as stated above.

    Thanks

I figured it out. In the ADMIN section of your web hosting you can ADD indexes. Most of the time this is OFF for the default are usually index.html. You will need to TURN this on if necessary and add index.html and index.php to be accepted.

    Thanks
    TomT.
