html/plain text – welcome message visual editor

  • I am using the Pro version and when adding/updating a auto responder welcome message in visual mode the text just all runs together and there is no formatting or line breaks and all is removed.

    I know this often happens to me on other sites when switching between to visual & text and wordpress will remove some of my html tags.

    So if paste in my html in “text” mode and NEVER switch to visual it generates the correct html message.

    If I create in visual and spaces and line breaks, the message looks great in the visual editor but the email received is everything in one long line all formatting and line breaks removed.

    My visual editor works fine on all other pages & posts and the newsletter template but I can’t compose these welcome messages UNLESS I use html & never switch back to visual.

    Is there a setting somewhere or is it just wordpress thing or hard to say without more data? Will include a screen shot of the page with the visual editor.
