HTML widget displays fullwidth and I don’t want it to

I have a website using the standard 1140 width. I have pages with banner ads which I use the HTML widget to display. When I use the ‘default’ page template setting the banner ad lines up perfectly on the left with the rest of the content. When I choose any of the elementor page templates the HTML widget reverts to fullpage width and it is out of alignment (i.e aligned too far to the left). The rest of the content remains standard width.

I can’t just keep using the default page template for various reasons.
