When I’m in the HTLM tab of word press and start typing or go to edit text the page JUMPS back up to the top. It makes it nearly impossible for me to continue typing in the spot I’m trying to add text. What is causing this and how do I correct it?

If it’s happening while editing using Internet Explorer, try the IE compatibility mode and see if it changes anything.

thanks so much. I’m VERY new to wordpress- can you provide a little more detail as to how I accomplish this?

If you are using IE8, once you log in and go to your dashboard, you can go the IE tool bar and select Tools > Compatibility Mode. There is also usually an icon at the right end of IE’s address bar that resembles a broken or torn file. You can just click on that as well. You can see an example by visiting here ( Internet Explorer 8: Features )and clicking on Compatibility View for a demo. I thought it might be worth a try before you continue trouble shooting. It seemed to solve the same issue for me – although it seems not to solve it for others sometimes.
