• Despite being labeled HTML view the editor does not show all HTML tags and actually removes HTML when switching between visual and code views. Please can the HTML view display and retain all HTML tags.

  • I’ve never come across a situation yet where the HTML editor has removed any HTML mark-up.

switching between visual and code views

I think this is the key phrase here. The html view is great for html as it says. BUT, you can’t switch between views. It is what it is….

It is a hindrance, and a pain, for many folks. TinyMCE in its current state, as implemented, just doesn’t handle it.

I don’t have anything further to offer unfortunately, as I’ve not come across a solution that fixes this…

I had the same issues, since I am using java script for some things on a site, but there is a plugin that helped me.

    PS Disable Auto Formatting

But yeah, its not optimal, you have to type each tag then, even in comments, etc ??

If you could edit properties of pictures via the html view I’d no longer need to swith to the wysiwyg-one ??
