• Hi all – I want to do a simple text string search thru the HTML of all 100+ Pages (and footer, header, sidebar.php files) we have in our site so we know know what web pages contain certain text (thereby allowing us to know exactly what web pages link to, say various PDFs, docs, image files, etc etc). Thought this would have been a standard default function in WP but apparently not, unless I’m completely missing something. I see tons of plugins for implementing a search function for end users but that’s not what we want. I’m hoping to find a basic tool that produces results of what web pages contain certain text, pdfs, images, etc etc. Please help!

Hi Mateo – greatly appreciate the reply, unfortunately that plug-in doesn’t work for me. I need to be able to specifically search only the html of all 100+ Pages that we have in our site. So basically my problem is that I know we have a file called 2016.pdf linked in about 5 or 6 web pages but which Pages I don’t know. So I need a way to search just the html for 2016.pdf so I know which Pages that exists in….that plugin unfortunately doesn’t search the html of Pages. Bummer!
