I have HTML enabled, but when the email arrives in my gmail box, the HTML tags show in plain text
<b> etc. And it’s not formatted. what am I missing?

  • I have the same issue. Aside from this hiccup, it is a pretty simple plug-in. Thanks for the development (and yes, I’ll +1 you).

That’s odd. It could be a regression bug introduced in 2.0.1. I’ll take a look at the code and let you know.

Okay, just tested on my blog and it worked fine on Gmail. It may be your hosting provider which is stripping the HTML headers for some reason, before sending the message.

Let’s see if other people have the same problem.

I tried with gmail as well. It doesn’t seem to appear properly there (either in the gmail.com website or my iphone’s email accessing the gmail server). The tags of strong, em, and br all display as if they were normal text. I have an image I can show you… I don’t know how to post an image into this forum.

I believe you ?? Have you tried disabling your other plugins to see if there’s a conflict somewhere?

Wait a minute… I may have misunderstood… I have a RECIPIENT using gmail, but I’m using the hostmonster/hosted sending account. Is that the same as you, or are you somehow hosted and using a gmail account to SEND the messages?

No no, same as you. Gmail was the recipient ??

The HTML still isn’t working, but I’ll just use plain text. It is a notification, for crying out loud ??

I guess I found the problem. Would you be interested in testing 2.0.2 to see if it solves the issue?

I’d be happy to (I sent you my contact info using your contatto page).

Sure, I saw your email, I’ll get back to you asap ?? Thank you!
