HTML tags are removed when saving message

When writing a message (topic) in wp-bulletin-board, after saving the message all the HTML-tags are removed. So what remains is a plain text message. It seems that the plugin is not WP 3.6.1 ready. Or: what am I doing wrong?
The bulletin-board is in maintenance-mode, so a link is not useful.
