HTML Tags

  • Hi,

    Just wondering if the plugin supports HTML tags within the sharing options section. For example, could I use the following to bold the post title when posting to linkedin:

    // <b> – [POST_TITLE] – </b>

    Also, I’ve noticed that the post excerpt always starts with an extra space preceding the text – is this by design?

    Hi @dciphered,

    LinkedIn natively doesn’t support HTML formatting, so therefore HTML can’t be used in the share message.
    I am not 100% sure about the answer on your 2nd question, but if that is the case for your site, you may need to facilitate that space. Like I can see, we haven’t purposely added a space in the code. But you know it’s possible that a custom plugin or theme might be filtering the excerpt and doing such a thing. Thanks ??
