I was not happy with the results of using the Blogger import plugin that came with my installation that used an XML file that I exported from my Blogger site. Mainly, the <i> and <b> tags were not converted to and and for some unfathomable reason the CSS for the <i> tag somewhere in my site produces a bizarre rendering on a separate line and in large italicized caps (see page)! The less important issue is that the way Blogger does text-wrapped photos was also not brought in so that it works and these are all separated from the text that they belong with.

Are either of these problems covered by this plug-in — especially the i->em conversion?

By the way, I went to the trouble of directly editing the XML file in a code editor, but I was unable to re-import either the edited or original file (after moving all posts to the trash). Something was apparently remembering my import and not allowing me to repeat it.
