HTML Tab RSS feed Inquiry

  • Okay so I recently started using WordPress 3.1.2 for the relaunch of my website (we were using Yola previously). I actually enjoy using WordPress but I am still adjusting & getting familiar with everything from posting to plugins, etc. I have two questions that I need resolved immediately.

    My first question is, why doesn’t the “HTML” tab in my WordPress not functioning? (I can’t click on it!) Could it be the theme I have installed? I am currently using this theme: https://themeforest.net/item/london-creative-portfolio-blog-wp-theme/70613

    My second question is, how do I locate the RSS feed for my website? I’ve been trying to connect my Twitterfeed so that my posts can show up on Twitter. I’ve also just found out about Feedburner but not exactly sure how to use it and where it fits in the equation.

  • 1. Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    2. Try using https://example.com/feed

    No, I haven’t tried this yet. Only problem is, if I do that I don’t want to uninstall anything and mess up what we already have. Would it be possible if I sent my login info and you guys try doing it? I’m still new to this system…

    There isn’t anyone else. WordPress is free, open source, software. There’s no support desk – only this forum. If this isn’t something that you feel you can manage yourself, perhaps you should consider employing a professional to carry out the work on your behalf.
