When working with the HTML tab, it’s become impossible to deal with as all the coding just clusters up into block with no formatting whatsoever making nearly impossible to work with. I have a screenshot but no place to upload here.

Are there any system parameters for this plugin. I use it on many sites and am having the same problem.

    Anybody else?

Are you experiencing this problem only for widgets or even in Pages/Posts?
You may upload your screenshot on a free service (tinypic.com, postimage.org, …) and post the link here.

    Thanks, Marco… Only on widgets…

It must be a conflict with another plugin. Please try to selectively disable other plugins until you find the conflicting one.
Moreover, please check your browser javascript error ccnsole.

    Hi All,

@jeffrey, did you find the problem? .. Having the same issue. Saving tidy html code in the <html> tab stays tidy. However one click and back to the <visual> tab, gives back a ‘blob’ of html code and the following error on console:

Consider using 'dppx' units, as in CSS 'dpi' means dots-per-CSS-inch, not dots-per-physical-inch, so does not correspond to the actual 'dpi' of a screen. In media query expression: print, not all, (-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio: 1.25), (min-resolution: 120dpi)

    Please advise.

    Kind regards,

    Gerard.

Unfortunately, no solution yet. Marco suggested a conflict, but I run this plugin on about 25 WP sites, all different… and the ALL have the same problem. It’s impossible to work with the code in html this way.

I have to copy the code and place into dreamweaver or other html editor to edit and re-paste into BS Visual Editor… a really pain. I’d love to see this problem resolved.

    Anyone? Anyone?

I’m also having the same problem, with 2 of my sites with this plugin, also the only 2 sites i’m running with this plugin. They both run on WordPress 3.9.1

If i add the visual editor, there is a error. Which is Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘on’ of null black-studio-tinymce-widget.js?ver=1.3.3:1

    Maybe this can help.

@gerardjp The notice you reported is triggered by a CSS included in WordPress core and it’s not related to our plugin. By the way it should not harm, nor causing any problems.

@jeffrey Have you tried to disable other plugins? Unfortunately I cannot take care of every plugin in the world. If you can find which plugin is causing the conflict, or at least provide a list of plugins you are using, I can try to help. Also please read our FAQ.

@royvdl Please try with version 1.4 just release. If the problem persists, as I said, please try to disable other plugins until you find the conflicting one.

    Hi Marco,

Thanx for your response. Nothing breaks, it’s just a bit cumbersume to copy it to textmate, tidy it, edit it and copy it back. But then again as a WordPress user I shouldn’t need to add custom classes and edit CSS either. But I got an eye for detail so it’s unavoidable ??

If time permits me I’ll dig deeper and post my findings.

    Thanx again!

    Regards,

    Gerard.

OK, Marco… I see that 1.4 is out… I will test this on a couple of sites. The problem is that with 25 sites running VE, all with different plugins, I can only hope to find a conflict early on in the process of investigation. I’ll look and report back.

Well, I can say one thing… I’ve tested on several sites, deactivating ALL other plugins and the problem persists with no other plugins running. So it’s hard for me to see any conflict under those circumstances.

Note: Just to reiterate… If I paste properly formatted html code into the html panel of Visual Editor, then switch to Visual tab, then back to html tab… it’s all one blog of code impossible to edit… see my image posted in earlier comment.

    What next? Appreciate the help.

@jeffrey Please could you paste a snippet of html code which is triggering the problem (better on pastebin.com). Moreover if you want you can send us the admin credentials of one of your affected sites via our contact form.

Ok, I was able to understand and reproduce the problem. It was depending on TinyMCE stripping newlines around div tags.
I made a modification to editor settings in latest version 1.4.1, so it should be fine now. Please check.

    Work like a charm. Thanks.
