HTML not working in Auto Responder

When I put HTML in the autoresponder message and then click on “Save Settings”, the HTML is removed (https://imgur.com/SmrjU8N). For instance, when I input <br><br>, the <br><br> is removed when I save the settings. This makes it impossible for me to input breaks between lines, which results in very ugly emails being sent out.
