HTML links

Here’s what I hope is an easy question. I know enough about HTML and how to link to stories or other web pages from my blog. Easy stuff. However, when I posted today I noticed that the link I inserted didn’t work, so I checked the page source and it appears that there is a mystery “x” appearing in the HTML when I try to link (i.e., “a xhref” instead of “a href”). None of my other links on the page are doing this. Can anyone help me out as to why an X is being inserted despite the fact that I’m typing the normal “a href?”
