  • Themes escape everything, for security reasons. The one part of the post in WordPress that is allowed to have HTML is the post title (besides the post content, of course), and themes know how to output everything safely.
    Changing the filter as described allows only a few HTML tags. Links should work.

    Thanks for your answer. I completely understand the security implications, we will have no public accounts, so this is only for our own bio.
    Yes, I read links should work, but somehow they don’t as you can see in my example…
    Is my only solution a plugin?

    Hi,
    It looks like you’re using Dorian theme with WPBakery builder, yes? So it seems that the Code Snippets solution from Puro themes doesn’t work with Dorian or WPBakery Author Bio box.

    However, there are other methods for adding an author bio box, some plugins and some code. Read How to Add an Author Box to Your WordPress Posts.

    Hi DJ,
    Yes, I use in general Dorian with WPBakery, but not for blog posts, it doesn’t showed me the WPBakery option and I didn’t care to look long enough.
