    HI —

We’ve got some very long author bios, and I’d like to break them into paragraphs. But whether I just enter a double return or put in paragraph tags, the bio displays as one solid block. Is that standard or an issue with how I’ve got it set up? And if the former, is there a way to allow html?

Thanks — and thanks for the plug-in! It’s very useful —

I’m working through updates for 3.9. I’ll look into this.

This should have simply worked. The plugin called the wpautop function that would add paragraphs around the text. I have 2 text blocks entered for my bio test and they are separated.

I did make a change in the next version in that the wpautop is called first and there is a new author_image_bio filter that you could hook into to change the final output.

Hmm. Still doesn’t work. But this site was set up a few years ago with an improperly created child theme, so it may be missing some newer features that would allow html in the user bio field. So it’s not an issue with Author Image — I can force it to accept html by removing the pre_user_description filter. I assume I can fix it in a more user-friendly way by either updating the theme or by using one of the plug-ins that apply wysiwyg to the author bio field. Will report back… and meanwhile, thanks much for the follow-up.
