I really love this plugin and am grateful for it’s existence. And so I was bummed when I found that deactivating it resolved an HTML editor issue I’m seeing. What’s happening:

On textareas that should be using the TinyMCE editor, we are seeing just a textarea, no HTML editor, with the raw HTML in said text editor. Here’s a temporary screenshot: https://awesomescreenshot.com/0983rtui07

This is the first report of this happening — and I do use this on a number of sites. Any thoughts on why this is happening (and if this is actually the cause)?

Also: For a temporary workaround, would just deactivating the plugin be okay? I’m thinking that perhaps the plugin doesn’t *have* to be active once the CPTs are created. Am I right in thinking this?

    Thanks.

Scratch that second part — things don’t work if you deactivate the plugin.

Honestly, it sounds like it may be a different plugin causing these issues and not ours. We don’t do anything but register the custom post types and taxonomies. We don’t do anything directly that affects the post editor screens.

I’d start deactivating plugins and checking the editor screen until it’s determined which is being the troublesome one, if possible. I don’t know how much the site is live.

Thanks for getting back to me. It almost seems like maybe a memory issue or something. I was able to have it work with your plugin installed — but other ones deactivated.

Thanks again for a great plugin!

You’re welcome, and hopefully you pinpoint the exact issue soon ??
