• When I enter my post, save and preview, the html code shows above the posting and no comment section shows for feedback. I am using a Flexx Bold theme.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanking you in advance.

    apljdi,

Sorry for the delayed response after asking for help.

I don’t know what you mean by ‘the html code shows above the posting’. I don’t see any raw code.

As for the comment section, it does show up for single posts just not for the post listings on the home page (and maybe other pages too). There is a link to the comments section though. That is pretty typical for WP themes, though it doesn’t have to be that way.

However, you mentioned ‘preview’. Do you mean that this problem only shows up when using the ‘Preview’ link from the post admin page?

Back from an out-of -town crisis.

    apljdi,

what happens is this, when I write a post and hit the preview button within the admin area, the post come up with all sorts of code above the actual text that I type. I thought this would not appear when posting, but it does. I then have to delete the post and try again. To keep the code from showing, I have to delete this code, leaving only the original text that I typed. This then causes my text to post 1 line below where it should start, leaving a larger than expected gap between the header and actual post.

Thanks for having a look. You did not see code because I had already removed it.

You are not writing a post. You are cutting and pasting from Word. You cannot do that. You either have to save the word doc as txt or use the paste from word button in the editor or use the publish feature from word.

    Thanks kmessinger.

I have been using Word, without converting or utilizing any of the other steps you’ve laid out above. So the code has been the attributes from the word doc? A lesson for this newbie to blogging has been learned.

    Thanks again for your response.

    Realloveministry,

you will need to supply a bit more info, as it is not clear what you are actually doing. What version of WP are you using? Are you logged into the admin area? Are you leaving a comment on your own blog or someone else’s?
